A recent estate donation to the Blackhawk Chapter included these Kodachrome slides of a management tour of the hump at the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern's Kirk Yard in Gary, Indiana over 50 years ago. They were developed on May 21, 1955, but unfortunately we have no other information on the exact date they were taken.

The Blackhawk Chapter is continually collecting photos and printed materials in our archives. We also share our archives, either at the many shows and swap meets we attend, or by private appointment. Items from the archives have made up the bulk of materials available in the Blackhawk Store of photo CD-ROMs, maps and books available for sale.
